To measure and calculate your company’s GHG emissions, Greenmyplanet uses the World Resources Institute’s Greenhouse Gas Protocol: A Corporate and Accounting and Reporting Standard (Corporate Standard, WRI/WBCSD 2004) which is the accepted international standard, having been widely implemented by companies, industry associations, and GHG programs, and adopted by the international organisation for standardization (ISO) as the basis for its ISO 14064-1 Specification with Guidance at the Organisation Level for Quantification and Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Removals (ISO 2006).

Proven certification system

This is a 4 step process has been designed to ensure our certification system is robust and thorough.

Step 1. We first conduct a carbon audit to assess your carbon footprint. This is done by collecting data from electricity bills, travel logs, waste etc. We then convert this into a CO2 figure.

Step 2. We then issue with a report outlining ways to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. Working with our clients we assist in helping reduce costs, procure energy efficient equipment and anything else they may need.

Step 3. Once everything has been done to reduce emissions we then procure carbon enough carbon credits to balance out the emissions creating carbon neutrality.

Step 4. The final phase is implementing a Greenhouse gas program (if required) into the business to help manage emissions over the long term. We set up the program and provide the necessary tools to manage it.
